No way Omarosa thinks President Trump is a racist

There is no possible way that Omarosa thinks that Donald Trump is a racist, despite the unhinged accusations in her book. She began work with him on “The Apprentice” about 13 years ago, and saw him quite frequently during her time on the program. If he is as racist as she claims, and she has deep convictions about racism she claims, she would have been long gone. In fact, she herself said on ABC just last December, regarding Trump, “he is not a racist.”

No, this whole thing about racism is just a con. Once she got fired at the White House, Trump could no longer serve as her ticket to fame and fortune – unless she could fabricate a whole bunch of false accusations, throw them into a book, and make a whole pile of money. The book is nothing but a sad and pathetic attempt on her part to take one more ride on the Donald Trump gravy train.

And a sad effort it is. Entertainment Weekly, which has no love for Donald Trump and would normally love anything that smacks of scandal with regard to a Hollywood celebrity, has graded her book out at a D+ and called it a “new peak in disgrace.”

Charles Hurt, opinion editor at the Washington Times, made the observation this week that race relations in America are better than people think. I think he’s right. Think about race relations where you live. Is your community aflame with racial tension, or do people get along just fine?

I live in a city in the deep South, in the heart of Dixie, which is 40% black. I live in an integrated neighborhood, where everybody is quite friendly with everybody else. When a white cop had to shoot a black suspect a number of years ago, race baiters tried to turn it into an issue. They had no success.

Chris Cuomo observed this week on his program that he didn’t even bother to cover the white supremacist rally in Washington, D.C. last weekend because so few white racists showed up.

This is not to say that racism does not exist in America. It does at Harvard, for example, where its admissions policies are quite explicitly racist and Asian-Americans are routinely discriminated against. They have to score several hundred points higher on their SAT scores than applicants of other races just to have a shot.

The solution to racism in America is the same as it has always been: the gospel of Jesus Christ. The only true antidote to racism is to rest in the truth of the word of God that “there is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is no male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus” (Galatians 3:28).

When our minds and hearts are centered on Christ, there is no room for hate and no room for racism, no room for judging people based on the color of their skin. We will instead, as Martin Luther King, Jr. called us to do, judge people based on the content of their character.

Years back UCLA stopped admitting Orientals. Their rationalization was that they didn’t want UCLA to be though of as an Oriental school.
