My black brother who lives in Baltimore said something that has stuck with me. He said, “I am tired of having to show people (whites) that I am not like them (black thugs).” His comment was made to convince me that NFL players have valid reasons for protesting our country.
I told my brother it is not white America’s fault that blacks commit more crimes than any other race except whites. http://bit.ly/2iwp1CO Blacks are only 13% of the population.
White Americans did not burden my brother with having to constantly show he is not a thug, blacks did. Like our dad, Dr. Rev. Lloyd E. Marcus, my brother is highly respected in his community; awarded for his service as commissioner of his county’s youth football league. However, my brother does dress urban style; causal attire typical of inner city blacks. No, he does not wear his pants below his butt. Continue reading
If you missed signing the parental rights amendment, we urge you to read below and learn more about this amendment.
Please visit parentalrights.org and learn more about the Parental Rights Amendment and sign their petition. In Oregon our parental rights are under assault by Governor Brown, Oregon legislators, government agencies, Planned Parenthood, ACLU, Basic Rights Oregon, Cascade Aids Project and other entities. These organizations are threatening the safety, well-being and corrupt the innocence of our children by legislating away our parental rights and conferring them on our children and then controlling the children via public school programs, curriculum and policies. For example, children in Oregon can receive contraceptive care at any age without parental knowledge or consent. A 15-year-old in Oregon can have a sex change without parental knowledge or consent. Tax bill provision opens ANWR, to bring more oil online and keep Alaska pipeline operating
Way back in 1980, Congress passed the Alaska National Interest Lands Conservation Act, establishing the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge and making numerous other land use decisions for our 49th state. Section 1002 of the act postponed a decision on managing ANWR’s 1.5-million-acre coastal plain, which has enormous oil and gas potential and is important summertime wildlife habitat. Continue reading
Cecil Rhodes, a multi-millionaire, resided in South Africa. His goal was to spread the British way of life over as much of Africa as possible. Just north of South Africa was Southern Rhodesia. In 1890, Rhodes sent an expedition to occupy Southern Rhodesia. The expedition went to a land lacking in roads, bridges, telegraph lines and electricity. The inhabitants were totally illiterate, dressed in skins, and living in huts made from sticks, mud and thatch. Continue reading
Climate alarmists have always been a strange lot, closely adhering to the prevailing story-line, when they surely know that it is nonsense or, at the very best, impressively weak. When I have asked Oregon’s premier climate alarmist, Oregon State University Professor Phil Mote, a question and he has not attempted to run away, he will pull out the latest volume from the UN IPCC and quote chapter and verse. When I have asked one of his assistants, Associate Professor Andreas Schmittner, if he will distance himself from the worst of the excesses on the alarmist side, he emphatically will not. It is this mentality that says to their fellow scientists that they are a breed apart. Continue reading
Special interests blatantly misrepresent President Trump and Interior Secretary’s actions
Acting on recommendations by Department of the Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke, on December 4 President Trump significantly reduced the size of two enormous areas in Utah that Presidents Clinton and Obama had set aside as limited-access, no-development zones under the 1906 Antiquities Act. Sue and settle schemes reward pressure groups, and hurt the rest of America
EPA Administrator Scott Pruitt recently issued a directive to end a 20-year string of “sue and settle” cases that have funneled untold millions of tax dollars to environmental organizations. Predictably, those groups and their allies have been apoplectic about it.
Many of these groups have grown from grassroots citizen movements to gigantic cash-flush conglomerates, with much of the cash coming from the government they appear or pretend to be fighting. Many now have separate legal arms with hundreds of attorneys, whose primary job is to sue the government and keep the cash flowing. They are part of the $13-billion-per-year U.S. environmental industry and lobby. Continue reading
“A sleeper agent is a spy who is placed in a target country or organization not to undertake an immediate mission but to act as a potential asset if activated.” ~ Wikipedia
In the Cold War era, spy novels and spy movies were produced which featured the quite sinister plot of sleeper agents launching attacks on the United States. A “sleeper agent” was someone connected to a hostile power who had been placed in a position of influence and access who appeared, from all external indications, to be a loyal citizen of this country. In our January/February newsletter in 2014, we touched upon the Alfred Kinsey Institute, along with Hugh Hefner and Playboy’s intrusion into the public schools via funding the Sexuality Information and Education Council of the United States (SIECUS), a major source of sex education materials in the public school and created by Kinsey in 1964. These luminaries and their perversions helped pave the way to eliminating school children protection from obscenity laws in the name of sex education. In other words, it was now okay to show what can only be described as “sexually obscene” material to minor children in the classroom, but it was still quite illegal to show that same material to children in any other venue. Samuel Blumenfeld’s tenth and latest book is titled Crimes Of The Educators. One might ask, is the word “Crime” in the book’s title to entice sale of the book or is crime identified in the book? Let us search.
John Dewey is generally lauded as the father of progressive education. In 1898 Dewey published the essay “The Primary Education Fetish.” Dewey in brief wanted to produce little socialists and collectivists instead of little capitalists and individualists. He called for a new curriculum that emphasized socialization and taught children to read by a whole-word method. The latter was to lower the nation’s literary level and make its children more amenable to collective values. Continue reading
